Documents specific to certain categories of workers

The type of documents to be supplied depends on the job performed by the worker.

Mandatory clauses in the employment contract

The employment contract must be duly completed, dated and signed by both parties. It must include the following information (based on Article 15 of the AGW of 6 June 2024):

• the personal details of the employer and the employee,
• the duration and place of work,
• the working hours,
• the salary and the number of the joint committee to which the employer belongs,
• the position held by the employee and the classification of the position.
   

The employment contract must also include statements certifying that the employer (based on Article 2. § 1 of the AGW of 06/06/2024):

• covers any travel expenses to Belgium;
• provides the third-country national with medical and pharmaceutical assistance and, where necessary, hospitalisation, until they are entitled to health and disability insurance benefits.
